The practice was formed in 1998 when Kelsey Short and Julian Head merged their solo Podiatry Practices together. We became accredited by the Royal College of Podiatry in 2012.\u00a0Practice Accreditation<\/a>\u00a0recognises our achievements in being one of a\u00a0limited number of practices across the UK who excel in all areas of practice.<\/p>\n

The ethos at Head & Short is to strive to be the best we can be and to provide the best healthcare services and products at affordable prices. We are always looking at how we can improve and we welcome your comments<\/a>. If there is something we can do better please let us know, if there is something we have done wrong please tell us \u2013 we\u2019ll do our best to put it right!<\/p>\n

We are also a training practice (rare in private podiatry) and occasionally have visiting undergraduate Podiatry students and former Podiatrists regaining there HCPC registration in our clinics.<\/p>\n

Mr Head has been in Podiatry for 25 years and Podiatric Surgery for 10 years. He is an experienced Specialist Podiatrist offering care from Bunion correction, toe straightening, fusions and repairs, nail surgery, excision procedures (minor surgery), injection therapy, dermatological Podiatry, Biomechanics\/MSK problems including rehabilitation, shockwave and orthotics.<\/p>

Mr Short has been in Podiatry for 30 years. He is an experienced Specialist Podiatrist offering care from routine footcare\/podiatry, nail surgery, dermatological Podiatry, Biomechanics\/MSK problems including rehabilitation, shockwave and orthotics. He previously Lead the local NHS biomechanics and orthotics service in West Hertfordshire.<\/p>

Associate Podiatrist<\/div>

BSc.(Hons), MRCPod, HCPC Reg.<\/p>

Laura graduated with a BSc in Podiatry from Northampton University in 2020 and joined the practice straight away. She works in our Hertfordshire clinics running routine clinics and also looks after biomechanics\/MSK patients, patients with fungal nail problems and ingrowing toenails. She is hoping to specialise in Musculoskeletal Podiatry and is attending post graduate courses in preparation for commencing an MSc in Biomechanics in 2023.<\/p>
