{"id":271,"date":"2020-03-26T12:59:40","date_gmt":"2020-03-26T12:59:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.headandshort.co.uk\/podiatrynew\/?page_id=271"},"modified":"2022-04-29T18:15:37","modified_gmt":"2022-04-29T17:15:37","slug":"covid-19","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/headandshort.co.uk\/podiatrynew\/home\/covid-19\/","title":{"rendered":"Covid-19"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\">updated: 29th April 2022<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>WE ARE OPEN AS NORMAL<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"><strong>The Government has stated that Podiatrists (Chiropodists) are key healthcare workers and medical appointments should continue to go ahead following the recent update on healthcare rules.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a class=\"maxbutton-9 maxbutton maxbutton-can-i-leave-the-house\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/news\/uk-51506729\"><span class='mb-text'>Can I leave the house for a medical appointment?<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\"><strong>The rules are simple:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"><strong>we can offer appointments for all patients (including shielding patients) however certain rules still apply<\/strong><\/span>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">you must wear a mask<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span><strong><span><span style=\"color: #ffcc00;\">do not attend if you have symptoms of covid \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #ffcc00;\"><span style=\"color: #00ff00;\">use hand gel<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">How do we consult with\u00a0you?<\/span><\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">we use remote consulting technology (video and telephone appointments) where appropriate<\/span> <span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">to do so.<\/span> This is useful for assessment and review appointments, dermatological problems, acute injury assessment, rehab, etc.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">All of our paperwork, triage and consent forms and payments systems are now online.<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Our reception staff are still screened at our premises and have the correct PPE if they need close contact with people.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">Where we need to see you face-to-face we can do so as safely as possible<\/span> <span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">due to the facilities we have and the PPE we must wear.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">We prefer payment by card (all of our sites have card machines) but we are also able to accept cash if you do not have a bank account (this reduces the risk of transferring covid-19 by hand)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">Strict rules are in place that must be followed when you attend for an appointment. These include:<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">Washing hands\/using hand gels<\/span><\/li>\n<li>wearing a mask\/face covering if you have one<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">remote systems are in use wherever appropriate (e.g. telephone and video consultations)<\/span><\/li>\n<li>following our staff instructions at all times<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">You should not attend an appointment if you or any of the people you live with show signs of Covid-19.
