Did you know that more than 10% of the population have fungally infected nails (onychomycosis)?

What are fungal nails (onychomycosis)?

Onychomycosis is a fungal infection of the toenails. Dermatophytes are the fungi most commonly responsible for onychomycosis.

It is a very common condition and is estimated to impact at least 10% of the worldwide population. You may suffer from onychomycosis if you have one or more of the following symptoms:

  • Thickened nail
  • Crumbly or brittle nail
  • Nail distorted in shape or separated
  • Nail with no luster or shine
  • A white, yellow, or brown coloured nail, caused by debris build-up

This embarrassing and unsightly problem facing millions of people has been difficult to treat safely and effectively with oral medications, topical drugs, or hot lasers. How do I treat them?

Oral Fungus Medications are linked to side effects and serious long-term health risks, including liver damage and heart failure.

Topical Drugs are often ineffective because they cannot penetrate through the nail to reach the infection.

Hot Laser Treatments are often painful and ineffective because they cannot properly treat the entire nail
